well...update looking around for a fuel pump. From what ive read and researched finally, no fuel is supposed to shoot out anywhere except from the regulator. Something I must have done is causing the fuel to shoot out where I drew it at that picture.
The bike is getting gas, but the sputtering thing is happening about the first 20 minutes or so and goes away, but still running kinda sluggish. Did the wd40 check, no change.
Mustve done something to it after the tin swap, bike never had any issues before that.
Found a pump on ebay thats brand new, gonna have to go for it. Yep, fuel shouldnt spray out at that part, unless anyone knows different on that before I order the new pump.
Naz, when you get the new pump dissect the old one see what's missing from the original components. I'm guessing a gasket or an o-ring is missing or the plastic housing might be fractured. Causing the spray.
well just an update problem solved, the new pump came today got it put in, sputtering and allll the backfiring is gone. Responsiveness is back as well, runs like it did last summer once again. I took apart the old pump, when I took apart where the filter is housed, just before I got it apart the ring gasket was partly crooked and came tumbling out, wasnt where it was supposed to be. Other than that possibly being the issue, I couldnt find any cracks, breaks or anything out of the ordinary. Either that was it, or I may never know for sure. Thank you all for the help. Lesson learned in class today: be careful with the fuel pump!
