Default Blue Pipes

I just installed some slip ons and had to remove
on of the heat shields to get at a bolt. I noticed
the pipes are blued already with 1300 mi. on
it. Is this normal? I heard the factory is shipping
bikes running hot.

I guess it's normal, mine did the same thing. These new bikes are set up to run lean from the factory and that means hot.

Good Luck

Mikec make sure the bolts are tight on the exhaust pipe to the heads sometimes if there is any leaks this will also turn the pipes blue. Were the pipes loose when you put on the new slip on`s ?

Very normal. What you are seeing is the copper's acid coming through the nickel.

They were probably blue with 13 miles.
