Rust inside new slip-ons?

I ordered a set of new slip-ons. Upon removing them from the box, alot of rust chips and rust powder fell out of each. Inspecting the inside, they are very corroded throughout. Is this normal? I suspect not, but want to confirm. They were sold as "new."

I would say no. That that is very much NOT normal. What kind are they? Where did you order them from? I'd get up customer service's *** immediately.

Is this a E-Bay deal or some imported product.If so you probably got them at a discounted price and would tell you to contact the seller as you would not expect to have rust in New unless they were on a shelf for 10 years first.

You shouldn't worry to much, it will get covered with black from exhaust. Unless they rattle.

Depends on the extent of the rust. If it's as bad as you make it sound, send them back. Otherwise it's like HDDyna said - they ain't gonna stay new through the first ride.
