Question on 11" Shocks

All,

I have the 412 11" HD Progressives on my 2007 FXDC. As most have mentioned, it rides very stiff and at time can be dangerous as it will bounce me off my seat if not paying attention to road condition.

I have about 10k miles on them and on lightest setting. Since I dont do much 2 up riding anymore (I weigh around 200lb and with bags, another 40lb), considering going to the 11" 430 Progressives. Does anyone ride those and can share? Is it a big improvement over the 412 HD or since its 11", just not enough travel.

Any other shocks that will make a real improvement?

I have 412 11" standard springs on my bike. They are on the 3rd setting and I weigh about 180 if I eat a big breakfast. I am gonna go to 12" length next time, I lost too much lean angle with the 11's.

I weigh 190 and have mine set to the mist stiff setting and the ride improved 100% when I did that. Will be going to the work shocks next

Don,

Talk to HDF sponsor Howard at Motorcycle Metal. He has a good handle on short shocks and will give you good advice. Simplest thing is to phone, but get a long drink first!
