One thing I dislike about riding at night more than anything is I can barely see anything when I have to put it on low beam when cars are coming from the other direction. Low beam on my 99 FXD is not very good at all. Do any of you just leave it on high beam all the time or have you changed out the bulb and seen a big improvement. Seems though I've seen post in the past about using some Sylvania bulb or something. Any info would be good. Thanks
I leave mine on high all of the time, screw'em I have one light all of the cages are suppose to have two, therefore they can see better than me with just one.
I leave mine on all the time as well...most people figure out I am a bike and never flash their high beams back at me. I guess there are still some courteous drivers out there.
Kev
I usually leave mine on high all the time. Once in awhile I get someone that flashes their lights at me to dim my high beam but the hell with them, as said before I only have one head light.
I changed out my reflector, and lense, and it helped out greatly. I contacted this website, and they helped guide which would be best. I think the total cost to me was under 60.00
i'm the opposite, i always use low beam. i could see better with a zippo lighter than the hi beam.
+1 on this!! My high beam sucks!!
I run the sylvania ultra bulb and re adjusted the height and works for me. I adjusted the light at night and just shinned out to where I want to see, screw the height directions in the book.
My high beam seems to be great, low beam kinda sucks, been consideringleaving mine on high beam all the time as well..half the cars i meet wont dim down for me either anyhow.

ODD!! I thought the high would be good looking at the shape of the housing. When I turn mine to high the light leaves the middle of the road and lights up the shoulder and trees. I don't care about the sides, I want to see in front of me!!
