Thanks, but as said before, I owe most of the good job compliments to my co-worker the machinist. As far trying to add some color to them, I sent an IM to Joe (JRK5892) and I am really waiting to see what he has to say.

Those things are going to look bad a$$ installed, no matter how you plan on painting. Can't wait to see them installed.

To be totally honest, I don't know anything about powder coating, I am hoping that Joe, or someone can work some magic with them.

They will look cool. I understand aluminum is pretty light but those are quite thick. Maybe your friend should bore them out a little more so they aren't so thick. How are you going to attach them? Some sort of adhesive or set screws? Overall, Nice job.

Edit: I see you may not be able to bore them out too much due to the holes you drilled in the sides. Even if the holes went all the way through they would look cool.

The plan was to bore it out bigger, but with the small holes in the sides we had to stop where we did, it is 1.750" ID, the old tips are close to 2" id (I think they measured out at 1.890") The tip will attach with a 1/4 20 bolt through the underside or backside of the pipes just as the stock one did. If the hols went all of the way through, I believe it would affect the overall sound, but this is a work in progress so it might still get done that way.

Well, as Promised I did a test fit on these this evening (stayed awake too long playing with the baby this morning) but the pics did not turn out as it was just too dark to really tell anything about them, will post up more pics once the holes for them to mount securely have been done.

Looks sweet. How about adding a short 1/4 to 3/8 chamfer to the end to give the allusion of them being a little thinner?
