My girl started riding, but it made me to nervous. She didn't ride the safest of people. Rode reaaaaaaally slow in traffic, had no confidence. It scared the **** outta me, and had to put an end to that. So now I have 2 scoots.
I had never even driven a quad - although I am a truck driver so I did have shifting knowledge - and was always a passenger. Tried to have hubby teach me - on his bike - and it was a horrible thing. I just couldn't do it and I was sooooo scared I would wreck his baby. He was even more nervous than I was. I took the class at a local college and it was great. I learned so much - it they taught me completely differently than he did. Took him a while but he has relaxed enough now that he trusts me enough not to panic when I ride without him. I did buy my own bike - even before I took the class - so I never had to worry again about hurting his baby. You're doing the right thing. You'll love having your gal to ride with - at least my husband says he loves it!! I can't tell you not to worry though - you will. You only live once!
My wife drives also.
She started to get her license when I met her, because I was riding a bike.
We drove with our bikes from The Netherlands to Spain and back last summer. Nice to do this togheter, a reel adventure. The big plus is, it's very quite you don't have to hear all the time that you drive to quick when using the car or took the wrong exit. :-) :-)
