Quick question. I was looking over the Streetbob in the showroom at the dealer and it seemed to have very standard male footpegs for the mid-controls. However, most HD footpeg fit information says they cannot be installed in this position :
Fits models with H-DŽ male mount style footpeg supports (except the rider position on '07-later XL883L, XL883N, XL1200N, XL1200X, XR1200™, '08-later FXDB, FXDF, FXCW/C, and '02-later VRSC™ models).
What gives ? Seems like they will bolt up just fine. Is there some catch I'm missing ?
Ok, in case anyone is like me and wondering and not laughing their *** off at my ignorance, after careful study of the models listed and the text, I'm coming to the conclusion that the pegs do fit on the Street Bob in the driver position, and that they mean it won't fit in the passenger position, because all those bikes don't have passenger peg mounts in their stock form.
So I guess anything that is HD male will fit on a street bob, as long as you have pegs there already, which would make sense seeing how it's bolted up stock.
