Default anyone notice this?

it seems the 2010 wideglide has a tank lift. The moco raised the front of the tank about 3/4" over the other dynas. I never knew that. Read it in a test in a magazine.

I have read that. How did they accomplish that? Is it a design change where the tank bolts to the frame? Different location of the hole... I'm lifting mine up another 2" this weekend.

Just read the same aricle I guess (American Iron - WG Review) and had the same reaction as you.

I read on the forum that lifting your tank takes out another gallon or so making you hit reserve quicker... Don't really know for sure...

Never realized that but now it makes sense. There was always something slightly different about the look of the tank/rocker covers.

Just makes your gauge less accurate.

I played around with tank lift heights on my 07 FXDC. I didn't like the way 2" or 3" lifts looked (just my opinion). But when I raised the tank just 3/4" it made a big difference in the way it looked. 3/4" uncovered the front cylinder just enough but without looking like I had a tank lift installed. If you take the bolt out, pull the tank up and slide the bolt back in so that it rests on the frame is just about 3/4". It even made the T-Bars look lower than they were. I made up a little system to bolt the tank in place and it looks great. 3/4" is about all you can go if you have 7" T-Bars or the cables will hit the gas caps. I had moved the turn signals already so that was not a problem.
