Default Broke my throttle cable

So I guess getting my bike blessed on Saturday didn't do the trick like I had hoped

Last night I'm riding out to the club meeting and right after I pulled off the HWY my throttle cable snapped..........bad words inserted here..........so I had nothing to fix it with and well.........used my thumb to open up the throttle body and make it to the club house.

The ride home was much more fun running one handed up the HWY @ 75mph to get home but it was actually fun once I got the nice lil half hour ride out of the way other than my right arm cramping.

Any others have throttle cable issues like this or is it just that my bike isn't religious

I had one snap when it was on the dyno, luckily it was there and not after! One thing I do is lube my cables everytime I change my oil. It only takes 1 or 2 drops of oil and a few minutes. I use super oil since it's made with teflon.

A quick fix would have been to take the idle cable and swap them, you don't need the idle, works perfectly without it.

I would have if I'd had the Torx bit in my bag..........which I will from now on

Plus I got major man points from the club for riding it when others would have cried.

Lol.
Get yourself one of the little Cruz tools. They have all the vital stuff in a small folding tool.
