Anyone have good recommendations for good sturdy luggage that works well on a Dyna. I need a sissy bar mount since we ride 2 up. Have a soft bag now but looking for something a little more sturdy and that rides and mounts easily. Appreciate the feedback
I really like the H-D Multi-Fit Nylon Ultra Overnight Bag. I can carry enough clothes for a week in this bag. Also, it's waterproof. I have some Dowco Iron Rider bags too, but they aren't waterproof. They come with slip on covers. Here's a link to the H-D bag:
Hubby, myself, our daughter and a close friend all bought the HD Universal Deluxe Side Loading bag ( they have 2 models..one with and one without wheels) Part number 98949-06. Mounts onto the sissy bar either sitting on luggage rack or on top of pillion if you have one. Comes with a full rain cover. I picked mine up on Ebay.
Here is a photo of them mounted a couple bikes....

I got these bags for $65 but just noticed that Jafrum jacked up their prices to $89.95. Still worth every penny. These bags are awesome and won't lose their shape. In the smaller bag I can fit a thick leather and chaps with a little extra room for smaller items. The larger bag is has plenty of room and has two side bags (9"x9") that are removable. Both large and small bags strap on nicely onto the sissy bar and the large bag has a thin pad to cover the straps that also acts as a back rest for the passenger. I'm extremely happy with them and saw other comparible bags for double.....even triple the price. Plenty of room in these bags for weekend trips. And another thing I like about them is that they don't stack too high but have just as much, or more room than others. Some bags I looked at stacked too high.
I wanted the ones with no studs but Jafrum didn't have them at the time so I got the studded ones. I see that they have the plain ones now so if you like the studded bags and want them cheaper than the $89 they have them for now, PM me and we'll discuss.
The bags I'm talking about are the SB3. I wouldn't even consider the SB2, I saw them and they're not made nearly as well and the SB3.
