Detachable sissy bar mounts squeaking.

Since installing my detachable sissy bar a few days ago I'm hearing a high pitched squeak (like a cricket chirp) when the engine hits a certain rpm. I only use the sissy bar when I carry passengers so I'm wondering how to fix this noise. The kit came with metal washers... perhaps some rubber ones would be better? Suggestions?

I rolled some silicone plummer tape on mounting post, or black electrical tape,
finally slide small O ring into clamp, also place O ring on front mounting post

First, remove the sissy bar and see if the noise continues at that rpm. If so, lube everything that could move.

If not, look elsewhere.

Thanks for the advice. **** just started squeaking after the install so I know it's got to be the mounts.

I had the same noise when I put on HD saddlebags...It turned out being the Strut Cover was vibrating at a certain RPM like you said. Try tightening down the bolts for the struts and see if that helps...It only took another half turn on my bolts to get it to stop.
