Aloha,
Installation pending. I am waiting on a new subframe. Should start attaching to the Dyna next weekend. That is a Chopper Blue Champion Daytona with TILT, Brembo disk brake, Suspension, Halogen headlight and more extras.
Very cool! Cool song too. What's your main purpose for the sidecar? Dog? Kid? Beer cooler? LOL And how much does something like that run?
With our growing family we needed a second car. Rather than add another car to an already crowded island I got a sidecar for my Dyna. It is mostly to take the daughter to and from school, run errands, haul stuff for work and free up the car for the wife. I know if seems large but it is not as heavy as it looks. And I got a 30 tooth primary reduction sprocket. The front end has a fork brace and 5 degree triple tree. Lyndall racing brake pads. The sidecar cost $8800 including many options, $2200 in modifications and service to the bike and $1200 for shipping.
That is going to be an impressive outfit when ready for the road! I can imagine scope for some serious tuning to increase torque!
A friend built several similar sporty outfits back in the 70s with Ducati twins. Spoked wheels didn't last long before needing a rebuild, but his 860 would nudge 100mph in the right conditions!
