Gas Overflow Drip?

After changing the oil and filter in my 08 FXDC, I checked the level cold & then hot. Later I noticed the gas overflow dripping. It dripped for aprox. 30 minutes then stopped. I had less than a half tank of gas at the time. Anyone know what would cause the drip from the gas overflow. It has me stumped.

Not sure what you mean by gas overflow. Do you mean the vent line?

Have never seen gas drip anywhere except the main tank connector or the crossover.

It was from the overflow tube.

Its your Vent Tube from the fuel tank, It's the norm for fuel to drip from that tube due to expansion and or over filling your tank mainly in hot weather. The next time it happens remove the gas cap slowly and listen for a surge I doubt you have a restricted fuel filter on an 08 this early but that may be the problem as you describe with only 1/2 tank of fuel
