got the bike out for the first time yesterday.... Didn't do much over the winter but I like the things I did. I lowred the back 1" with the Tamarack lowering blocks and I did the Progressive Suspension Drop In Lowering Kit. I dropped the front a little more than an inch ( 1 1/4" or so) cuz I always thought the front looked a little "high". Also blacked out a few more things (rear fender strut covers, air cleaner cover, headlight trim ring, brake/clutch levers). I'm really digging the lowered stance changes the look for the better I think plus it really improved the handling and all but eliminated the front end dive on breaking - highly recommend it.
The only things I'm still thinking of doing are black shocks, painting the front lowers and ditching the mini ape/riser combo for a set of 14"ers. I was going towards blacking out the whole thing but I think I might have stumbled on the right combo of black, silver and chrome (for me at least)
I figured that!! I wanted stitching, but couldn't figure out what would go with my paint set so just stuck to black!
Ya - on your bike with that paint set I think smooth was the right choice. I wanted a little something so went with the flames but stuck with the black stitching.... ties in the flame grips and pegs I think. Anyway it's a super comfortable seat for a great price and the service from C&C was top notch....another purchase I can wholeheartedly recommend.
