have 08 street bob and can't stand the mid controls
i'm wanting to convert to forward controls soon but can't decide where to buy...
they seem a little pricey I was hoping I could just extent the current controls rods..
Do i need the kit?
and does anyone know where i can get it for a decent price?
j&p has them for like $250 at lowest with gold club
I looked at a lot of them before I just went and bought the Harley Kit in black for my wifes bike. With 20% off they were not that much more expensive that some of the cheaper ones. Using the mids I dont think is an option, you would have to do a lot of modifications.
I just installed some used ones i got from a friend with no rods, I could not see a way to extend the stock ones had to buy the harley brake rod went aftermarket on shifter. some times you just need to bite the bullet on parts and I think forwards are one of them.
where did you get them in black with 20% off?
i'd prefer some black ones but the only ones i see under 300 are chrome at j&p
thanks
I purchased mine at the dealer I bought my bike from, they gave me 20% off for the first year since I bought my bike. But as someone else posted Chicago Harley and a few others offer 20% off all the time.
Check out american classic motors on eBay, they have the Kuryakyn forwards for $299 and free shipping. Real easy to install and you do not have to take the primary off.
