my bike has been "stumbling". It feels like I let off the throttle and then quickly give it gas. It's been happening in all gears, when I accelerate quickly, going up hills, and pretty much whenever it wants to. Any ideas of what it might be? Any ideas of how to fix it? FYI, I have an 06 street bob with V&H big shots and PCIII.
On a nearly 5 year old bike I would clean the fuel system first, check the plugs, basically do a full maintenance check on her. Fuel filters could be a possible culprit too.
mine is doing it as well. No codes, no issues with any sensors or sensor voltages this was all checked during my dyno runs and the data i collected with the SEPST its back in the shop now and they have decided they are putting a new ECM in the bike and think its throwing a false rev limit in the ecm so iam with out a bike for at least a week or so as they have to order the ECM and they have to send my SEPST back to harley to have cleared out so it will mate up to the new ECM.
Cant figure out anything else but if it comes back when i get the bike back the next thing i will do is have all the lines checked in the tank actually i will probably pull them out and replace everything in there i priced it all out and it looks like about $80 bucks for all the fuel lines in the tank the new filter and the new tank seal and bolts.
I really hope it works out when it comes back iam tired of messing with it by the way my bike is an 07 FXDC with almost 44,000 miles on it. I have already done new plugs, wires, air cleaner etc.
Iam wondering about the tank hose though cause it sure seems like the problem has gotten worse since i did the last two mods' one of which shouldn't have done anything other than make the bike run better and that was the SEPST and dyno run. The other being the jackly tank lift which changing the angle of the tank may have changed where the possible hole in the line is sucking in air.
Ck the wires to the injectors. There was a thread on here not long ago with similar symptoms. A wire was broken inside the insulation, so you won't see the break. Ck with an ohmmeter.

good suggestion and....put a wrench on the battery connections just to make sure/

Good one! I forgot about the broken injector wires. I remember checking those before going inside my tank.
I'm a short legged rider, otherwise known as a girl! I just bought a 2006 Dyna Glide Custom. It has a low rider kit and low profile shocks. It's my 5th bike and the first time I can touch the ground flat footed! The only problem that I'm having now is that my legs have to curve in to reach the foot brake and pegs. I've looked all over the internet for accessories and can't find anything to fit my bike model. Any ideas? If I could make my foot peg and brake peg an 1 1/2" longer it would be perfect!
May I suggest starting a new thread with the concerns and I'm sure others may chime in. Some on the forum might have a little fun with you on hi-jacking the subject matter. Welcome to the HD forums and keep in mind some will help and some will have a smart azz answer. Again welcome.
