Suspension upgrades payoff
Man, all I can say is I'm glad I spent last winter funneling some of my hard earned donaro on the dyna suspension.
Last night I'm on the way to work, clipping about 40 down my country rode, bike's running good, man everything is good. All of a sudden I see two dogs off the side of the road by a mail box. So being they are dogs, and we know dogs like to do, I put on a little brake, and one of these two boneheads darts right out and decided he's gonna get some dunlop rubber. Well let me just say, he got it allright, right in the a$$ end, aaaaaaaahhhhhh @#$%, as I threw some more brake on, very lightly skidded my front tire, smacked that dogs rear quarter, he yelped out, and I thought, &^%$ here it comes, I'm going in the ditch, I am so screwed.
But besides a small skid mark from the front tire, everything was cool. I couldn't believe it, my bike stayed perfectly straight, didn't wobble, jiggle, lean, nothing. I don't know if I was my actions or the bike but damn.
I hit a pot hole last summer, that scared the crap out of me, and that's why I sunk some money in suspension this last winter, that pothole was a biggun, and I thought I was gonna lay the bike down it wobble and jiggled so much.
This dog was a big dog, bigger than that pothole and nothing man, I mean those tires were cemented to the ground.
All I can say, is I know my suspension just paid itself off, superbrace, true track, ricor intiminators, progressive springs.
For you PITA folks out there, well, I felt bad for him, but no I did not stop to check on him, because I figured it was dark, and he was NOT killed, he was just hit hard and I'm sure real pissed, so him and his buddy, might of decided to retaliate and have a irsh/country taco. But I did drive back slow the next morning looking for him, I was gonna stop if I seen him and talk to the owner, but never did see him, guess maybe I ought to learn to shoot left handed, hahahah.

Wow! Glad that all worked out ok. Could've been a disaster. Sounds like all your hard work on the suspension was a good investment. I'm sure the dog was fine, they're tough...
Thanks man, no doubt, could of been bad news for me and even more bad news for my bike.
I have tried to put more of my efforts on handling first, the only thing I really want to do to finish off suspension is add some of the new ricor rear shocks but I think that will wait a few months, got a couple pleading performance mods that require some help first.
I know there is other stuff I forgot to mention as well but also changed my brakes to Lyndals, threw on magnum stainless brake lines, having a pretty good upgrade to the brakes, new cups and seals on calipers so their better than new....
