i know the "load equalizer" is actually just a resistor that is put inline with the lights to fool the flasher module. what i was wondering is do the resistors build up a lot of heat? where should they be placed to keep them cool and i'm assuming i only need one per side for the flashers
Try these guys:" http://www.badlandsmotorcycleproduct...OULD-I-USE.htm
They have units that do not create heat and will allow auto cancel on your signals, I have one and it works perfectly. Mine is the Load Equalizer II

I have LED turn signals with the Badlands equalizer...sits underneath my seat on my '97 WG. I have not noticed any problems with heat buildup.
The Badlands 'Illuminator' has both Load Eq. and Run Brake Turn integrated in one unit that works with both standard filament bulbs, and with LEDs in any combination, and doesn't get hot. That's the only product I've been able to find on the market that does both. I just put one in a few weeks ago along with some LED signals and brake light. Together they make a dramatic difference.
