wana drop the rear with some 11" progressives, but i have a few questions.
how much will an 11" shock lower the rear of my bike?
i want my pipes to stay level to the ground and not sag in relation to my swingarm, so how much would i have to lower the front with the drop in kit to keep the bike level?
thanks LHC...your bike is sick as f*ck by the way.
i wana lower it but i don't wana end up with the rear of my pipes pointing at the ground. that's why i wana know what's gonna keep the front/rear relationship the same as stock only lower.
and your bike looks great, but extend your pipes towards the rear of your bike.
see how they would dip below your swing arm pointing down towards the ground?
that's what i want to avoid.
i just wana know how much 11" shocks lower the rear so i know how much to lower the front to match.
so far it's looking like 1" but i wana be sure.
there will be a gap between the swingarm and the pipes which is unavoidable. With the bike lowered, the swingarm moves up toward the fender and points to the sky. You can make it so the frame is level and the pipes don't point down, but, the gap will occur unless you get an upturning exhaust, like a thunderheader.
I did progressive 11" 412 hd and the progressive full front lowering kit. I called progressive and the suggested the full front over the drop in, I also changed to SE heavy fork oil, made a huge differnce. but with the big shots on my bike the swing arm points to the sky.
