Default Logged Oil Temps

Since I got my HD Oil Temp dip stick last December I have kept a log. The oil I use is regular Wal Mart brand 20/50 Dino oil changed every 5K miles.

Here are my results so far on a '09 FXDC with 11,400 miles presently. Ridden in South Florida for a minimum of 60 miles before each reading:

Oil Temperatures
24 Dec '09 Oil temp: 217, Air temp 72
26 Dec '09 Oil temp: 213, Air temp 63
28 Dec '09 Oil temp: 211, Air temp 68
30 Dec '09 Oil Temp: 217, Air temp 67
31 Dec '09 Oil temp: 223, Air temp 77
17 Jan'10 Oil temp: 217, Air temp 79
23 Jan'10 Oil temp: 203, Air temp 72
2 Apr'10 Oil temp: 247, Air temp 80 (220 mile road trip mostly at 80-85 mph)
6 Apr'10 Oil temp: 216, Air temp 73
8 Apr'10 Oil temp: 240, Air temp 82
5 May'10 Oil temp: 227, Air temp 90

I would be interested in anyone keeping a oil temp log using synthetic oil for a comparison.

Ride safe..

This is good stuff, I will watching this thread as I have always used "conventional" oil and have been considering the expense of using the Synthetic stuff. Hopefully it doesn't take long for the synthetic users to post data.
