Thanks, everybody for the great advice. Going to go ahead and make the commitment. I'm a little older and think I can show the patience to get back in the flow. Hopefully it won't take long. Test rode the bike today and all I have to say is "Why the hell did I wait so long to do this". Felt confortable but showed the proper respect. The power was a whole new feeling. Honestly I didn't stop smiling for an hour after I took it back. What a great day. Hopefully soon everyday will be a good day.
Why do some people say get a smaller bike??? My dyna was my first bike and no problems here... Just be careful and resect the bike and learn to handle it.. Dont push it like an idiot and you will be fine!!!! You cant control what others do that may cause you to put it down and that doesnt matter what kind of bike it is!!!!
I just picked up an '02 Low Rider with 6,200 miles as my first Harley. I'm 5'9", 180 lbs, and I'm really happy with it. I was able to get it for a really good price, but I looked at several other bikes before picking this one. A lot of '07's are available in this area at reasonable prices also, check your local Craigslist and look at a few bikes so that you can figure out which one is best for you.

Test ride, you're screwed! Those bikes bond to you when you test ride them, you must have them.
