need muffler helo
I have a 2000 superglide that had vance and hines true duels, two into one when I bought it. The issue is its a little to loud for me. I learned on the forum how to rap the baffle with fiberglass and secure with wire. In used the type of fiberglass used to repair boats, that comes in a sheet. It worked great for about 30 mins. then most of the rapping was blown out. What did I do wrong.

How can you have true duals (2 into 2) -2 into 1?
You have either 2 into 2....OR....2 into 1.
Not sure that fiberglass is the same used on baffles. Maybe you didn't wrap it tight enough or secure it good enough. Maybe a metal ziptie would work better.

You lost me on which system you have. V&H does make quieter baffles for most of thier pipes. If you are talking about the 2-1 system, then you're s.o.l. as far as I know.
Now I have to ask, what about you're headers?

sorry about the lack of info but i bought the bike as is. It does have the two into one and has no crossover pipes and my mechanic said they were after market headers. The muffler looks like a megaphone type pipe. There are two hex head bolts that when removed the chrom end comes out with yhe baffel. The whole piece is about 8 inches long. 4" then a round divider and two more inches then the the chrome end. I hope this helps identifing my system.
