OK so its confirmed that for 2011 the dyna fxd superglide is done. We all know that they will be replacing it with something else. Does anyone know what that may be ?? A guess?? Could this be the return of the FXDX sport ? Man I hope not I just bout a 2010 fxd. Ive been waiting a long time for a new version of the famous fxdx sport and gave up.

yup thats where I heard it first. But my local indy just confirmed it the other day !! im assuming they go by paint chips or something. New models will be revealed in july
Its not really a surprsie to me. I see 09's still sitting at some of the local dealers and with the Custom only being 1k more its become a harder sell.
As far as a guess of whats going to replace if they even do, I would guess a redone Low Rider.
I just read in Cruiser Magazine , that the MoCo is expected to "release a new street fighter model" this summer . I immediately thought of the FXDX with a quarter fairing . But I suspect it wont be performance oriented . But , rather just a cosmetically altered Dyna of some sort .
I bet they bring back a the Low Rider and then come back with a new Super Glide in a 2 or 3 years. I'm not sure how the new Super Glides are selling. I was at the dealer today and they still have a good amount of new 2009 SG's leftover. Maybe that has something to do with it? With the economy the way it is and sales being down I think the MoCo wants to streamline the Dyna line. Because the Low Rider and the Super Glide are so similar, I don't think we'll see both in the showroom at the same time for a while.
superglide, low rider and wide glide should be staples for Harley. it seems they have been around forever. i guess because they failed to make them sell friendly they dump them.... hopefully they come back.
I wouldnt be surprised at a quarter fairing model. With the success of sons of anarchy and there bikes being fairinged out.. HD loves to jump on the band wagon.
