I am putting clip-ons on my FXDX as part of a cafe racer conversion. To keep the riding position comfortable i moved the mid-mount footpegs back another 3 1/2 inches, and raised the seat level up four inches. The higher seat allowed me to create a box for tools and stuff under the seat.

My 07 SB is the first bike Ive owned in 15 years w/o clipons. I'm a sportbike guy at heart. The clip ons are BAAAD bro. Afraid I might have to copy you. Keep up the good work.

Default Thank you Fatbobber08

My 2011 FatBob is my first Harley (46 bikes over 37 years). I also have a 2009 Triumph Speed Triple on which I have fitted clip ons. After 10 years on 2 Honda super Blackbirds, a Yam R1 and a FireBlade, I fancied a naked flat bar ed bike. But much prefer the lower bars.
So clip ons are on my to do list for my Fat Bob.
Thank you once again for the inspiration and your fotos.
Cheers

So is it a comfortable ride or is it stretching you out too much? My sport bike doesnt have clip ons but I have a straight bar and that almost makes me lean over too far, one of the reasons I wanted to get a cruiser.

I agree. It definitly looks bad ***. I think it would look even better without the console sticking up. I always loved the cafe racer look and the front of the FB is perfect for it.
