thanks for all replies.
The thing is that it is not about saving money. It is about how to spend them wisely and do not get ripped off.
Could anybody tell me how much it is in USA to load HD fuel pack at the dealer shop ?
Here in Poland they are crazy the price is 270$ at one shop and nearly 500$ at other shop.
they quoted me for $170 but I didn't do with it. Is they want almost 300 or more, I'd just find someone who sells a plug-n-play tuner and will ship overseas. v&h fuel pack, power commander, dobeck TFI, whatever your choice may be. That way YOU have control of YOUR bike, not just a new dealer setting in it.
Right now I have a stock AC and would like to replace with the K&N element. I have Rush slipons. Would I need to remap if I did this? Does the K&N flow that much more than the stock element?
Another vote for F/M for the PC-V. Simply tell them what you are running as far as pipes, and AC goes and they will send you one pre-loaded for your add ons. Your bike will run better and you will gain significant HP and TQ and will be cooler as well. Plug and play. It does not get any easier than that.
well im a certified harley tech and have an 08 dyna sb ill put mine on a dyno beside any one of yours and pull a perfectly flat fuel line at idle through wot and i have vh short shots and a screamin eagle air cleaner and no harley remap on bike if you have an 08 or newer it has the harley adaptive learning system on it and it will adjust itself if you paid harley for the download and tuner we thank you for parting with your money to us but you got stuck. ive dynoed twice at different places and its great. harley loads the same map on your bike in fl. as they do in colorado hows that right altitude effects bikes so explain that....exactly you cant again save your money and buy more chrome remember boys...Chrome Dont Get You Home...

There's more to tuning than a flat AFR line, such as the timing map.
and i have vh short shots
well obviously you don't care about performance because no one who did would stick those things on, they are for noise value only

What's special about that? Its the point of EFIs controlled by O2 sensors.

The MAP sensor adjusts for different air pressures - there I explained it.
again save your money and buy more chrome
Exactly what I would expect from someone from a Harley dealer - no real knowledge, just advice to buy shiny stuff.
Asked alot of questions both at dealers and several forums. I was concerned about the long term affect for AC and muffler changes. I am not a mechanic or even pretend to know the EFI system however, I have a 2008 FXDL, been running SE 1 AC with rush slip ons, 1.750 baffle with Xied, no remaps or dyno for 20K or so. No preblems at all, runs great. ( Read up on the Xied) No I am not promoting or selling. This was my first change and was a drastic inprovement.
From what I know, Anything above or greater than minor changes like if you install, larger baffles (needs backpressure) or more air flow above the SE1, fuel managment is highly recommended. I did try the larger baffles and decided to stay with the 1.750 for the ECM. The ECM will adjust itself for the minor changes as I have listed. I guess all things has it's limits. This post is for what's it's worth.
The stage 1 download is designed to work well with the S/E air filter and S/E slipons.Notice I didn't say V&H or Rush slipons etc. or Kuryakyn etc. a/c.If you plan on changing pipes and other things in the future get a tuner,it's that simple.
