( I posted this in the Softail section but wondered if anybody with a Dyna might have had this problem ) ..and maybe offer some wds. of advice.

I have an '04 Heritage Classic
I wanted coloured plug wires so I ordered Accels ...then tried SE wires.
Both sets of wires make the engine light come on and I get the code.. P1353 Front Cylinder No Cumbustion EFI
( The code is not accurate because the bike is working fine....but the engine light stays on. )
When I clear the code and put my stock wires back on....the problem goes away.
Now I have a blue set of Accels and a red set of SE wires but can't use them. ( can't ride with the engine light on all the time. )
Same here, except mine is rear cyclinder, and light only comes on when I get on it.
Then goes off after a few seconds. Again aftermarket plug wires....
Might have something to do w/the ION sensing on newer bikes. I put Magnecor KV85 wires on my last two HD's (05 Sporty & 09 FLHX) w/no codes. Don't know if you want to spend more $$$ on this (maybe return other sets), but here's their site:
Just a WAG, but maybe the ECU is detecting not enough resistance in the plug wire and thinks one of them is cracked or broken.
Could be.
Unless you have a high energy ignition system, what's all the hub-bub, Bub? I suspect the factory wires are more than capable of carrying the factory spark. So run what works.
To me, on a Harley, if it ain't Black, chrome it. Black works.
