I have an 01 Dyna Wide Glide that has 22,000 miles with alot of chrome and brand new tires, detachable w/shield,very clean that I can trade for a 99 softail standard that belongs to a buddy of mine it is totally custom, paint, engine, lowered, custom wheels,it has the 95 c.i. big bore kit,16 inch apes really nice bike. The softail has everything on it I wanted to put on the Dyna so should I trade? The engine rebuild on the softail has 5,000 miles onit and the bike has 16,000. any input on the 99s would be appreciated as the Dyna was my first Harley

What I would be most curious of .. why the trade? Something up with the bike given its the same year more toys on it. Seems a tad fishy at least to me. Unless he's into projects looking for something new to play with.
You can add 16" apes to your WG for $300 from Hill Country Custom Cycles. The 95" kit could be done for under $1500 if you do the work yourself. The kit itself is like $300-$400. A decent set of cams another $200 or so. Send the heads out...$400-$500 (big boyz).
If you want to softy, and the guy is a trusted friend that will be straight up with you go for it if that is what you want.
The guy with the softail owns 18 wheelers and someone he knows has a truck he is not using and the person with the truck wants a bike.... he is an older guy and I was thinking the Dyna may be more suited for him than a slammed bike with apes and everything else and correction the softail is a 2002 model. This is a friend of mine that I trust, I was just looking for some other opinions.
