Default FXDX Speedo/Tach relocation...

I'm looking for ideas on how to relocate my speedo and tach on my 99 FXDX. Right now it looks like Mickey Mouse ears sticking up between the handlebars. I want to put some T-Bars on sooner or later. I did the side mount speedo on my Sporty, but I haven't seen that on a Dyna. I wouldn't mind losing the tach if I had to.

Get the Joker machine relocation bracket and put it on the risers for the t bars. Mr. Moto has this setup. Very nice.

Hey guys, digging up an old thread. I just bought a 2000 FXDX with only 6k on the clock!

I want to put wild1 8" pull back chubbies on it and am looking for this Joker Machine bracket but I can't seem to find it anywhere. It's nowhere to be found on their website. My eventual plan is to switch to a FXDL tank and have the gauges tank mounted, but it seems that the 96-03 lowrider tanks are damn near impossible to find!

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

Default New Tank

Yeah i went with the fxdl tank on my '05fxdxi. Bit expensive, i got mine off ebay for a little less than $350 shipped. Fixed my gauge issue, looks really clean too!
Ive got 10" tbars on 1 3/4" risers behind a ness fairing, and i love the looks of it. Your stock gauges will fit in the fxdl tank panel with a little persuasion. LOL... Might be the way to go.

Yeah, I would be willing to throw $350 or more at a used tank, but the only ones I find on ebay are for injected models, the 96-03 carb FXDL tanks are so hard to find. The part number is 61054-96. I would like to have the clean tank-mount look for sure.

I want to swap the bars before spring, so if I can't find a tank I would like to get one of these brackets, but I can't seem to find one of these either! Does anybody know if the accutronix gauge is compatible to mount both the speedo and tach? It only lists as being for the FXD to mount the speedo.

Accutonix will work. You will need to get the Sporty speedo (single or dual) bracket.

Harley braket with Tach.

This is the dual speedo/Tach that will work. If you already have a Tach.

You can run get one of these and get the solo bracket.
