Default 2010 WG ...Missing bolts?

I had my bike in for the 1,000 mile check up sometime ago..
Today I was walking out to gather the garbage cans and noticed a little bolt laying in the driveway...To me it looks like a Harley bolt, so i get down and start looking all over the bike and found (3) empty bolt holes, and the bolt seems to fit.
Under the bottom of motor ( I have no idea what's this area is called)
I took a picture, of area but could only get one hole in picture...here is a picture of the bolt & hole area...am I missing these bolts?

Thanks

That bluish picture looks like a bolt that has been sheared off with the nut attached, so I do not think it went in the bolt holes that are empty in your pics.
Since I don't have a 2010 WG not sure what that might be from, but doesn't look like anything under mine, except maybe a bolt that originally secured the exhaust.

2010 WG ...Missing bolts?-downsize.jpg

I took another pic

The bolt I found hasn't been broken at all.,That's what my Husband thought when I e-mailed him the pic too, but the bolt is short and has a normal swirl to the ending.....no nut attached either, it's got a wrench type head...lol...sorry , the pictures are from my cell phone,so they aren't the best... it's hard for me to explain, not knowing mechanics very well.
The empty holes are right under the bottom of the motor..I had to lay on my back and slide under the bike and move a cable to get the pictures.

That is a sheared bolt, the type of nut on it tells me that, it is a nylon "locking" nut.
That type of nut only goes on 1 way, and the end with the threads protruding is not the end that is threaded into a hole.

you sure its off your bike? anything that is stressed that much to shear off would be something we should all be checking, I just got home for night shift and need a few hours sleep but when i get up I will go look at my WG and see if i can track anything down :-)

I am not 100% sure it came off my bike, I just noticed it laying in the driveway, so I thought hummm, looks like a Harley bolt, so I looked my bike over and noticed those open holes there in the picture above....I screwed the bolt in and it fit....so It's why I asked if I was missing bolts or not...when ya get rested up, let me know what you see under there, cuz I do have three screw holes empty under the Motor side.......I don't know if this is normal or not.

My WG is older than yours, but I've been into most of it, and unless the MOCO has changed their ways, I dont recall ever see'ing a Nyloc nut used.

It will be interesting to see what the guys see, when they look under their bikes....I swear it looks like three screw holes wide open under there....I wouldn't think they would leave those open , seems like water from rain, dirt , dust could get sucked in there.
I haven't seen any leaks of any kind, which is a plus !
I wished my Husband got to come home every night, he will be deployed for 6 months starting July 3 rd.....so I try to read alot on this form for answers!
