I am thinking of adding a Windvest 16x16 windshield to my new Wide Glide. Does anyone have any experience with this brand? I just want to stay away from buffeting as possible, most of my riding is on the freeway. I don't want to have a $400 garage ornament because my eyes are playing pinball at freeway speeds....
I actually got the Harley sport detachable. Once I lowered it as much as possible and tilted it outward, I did not have any buffeting problems on the highway. With it up and tilted in, my helmet shook around alot. Enough to not be able to read signs on the highway. I have gone with no helmet, a fullface (cold weather) and a half shell with no problems now.
I have heard that the Windvest are very good also.
Memphis Shades all the way dude.. Rio Grande would work great for you.. Best one I've ever had on my Softail(still the same size front end as your's, 41 MM) and I've had a few..
Thanks for the opinions guys.. the more input I get the better. I am one of those guys that will research the hell out of something before I buy it.. Drives my GF nuts..

Thats not the way you are suppossed to do it with a Harley. Just start buying stuff till you get the combo of stuff you are happy with. Then you have lots of spare parts to sell or trade. I have several seat combos now.
