I would have bought it too and once you put some miles on it it is, at least in my opinion, comfortable. I just wanted to point a few things out so you don't booger up your fender.

I think you'll find you got what you paid for. I bought one as my first solo seat and paid $40 for it I think. Not comfortable at all for very long as most stock seats seem to be. But can't beat the price. With no more than that invested, if you like the look and feel of the seat, send it off and have it repadded and/or gel'd.

Just the opposite for me. The stock seat broke in over time and became very comfortable and I put 17K on it. I replaced it with a stocker 09' because I really liked the look of it and it is doing the same thing, the more miles I put on it the more comfortable I find it. When I first put it on I thought crap, I have to start all over again breaking in the seat. I think people swap out the seat too soon before they break it in or maybe I just have a hard ***? I think the OP will actually like the seat once he puts some miles on it. If he does not mind the look of the pleats puckering, which bugged me, he probably won't want to get rid of it.

Finally! I was starting to think that I was nuts. I have no problems with my stock seat, it just took a few miles to break in.

Personally, I think it's your *** that is getting broken in, not the seat. My experience has been that the stock seats are made cheap and you can feel it. If they were too hard at first, I could see breaking them in, but the padding is crappy and they are too soft from the get go, especially the bigger you are, so what's to break in? That's just my opinion.

I haven't had any problems with the stock seat either. Maybe it's because I also ride a road bike (pedal kind) many times 100+ miles in a day...the stock seat on that was a real *** hatchet and had to be changed.

Nope - that one is a keeper. Comfortable from the get-go - no break-in required.

I have a stock solo seat and a removable passenger pillion pad. I only put the pillion on when the wife comes out with me so as a quick easy fix I lined my rear pillion with heavy felt. It was a cheap and easy install and I have not had one scratch.

Don't get the one with studs on it, just the plain one.
Ordered the fender bib, and like the way it looks on the bike. I also picked up an extra set of the bumper pads that come on the bike (was able to reuse my old ones on the stock seat, so the new ones went on the solo).

Next question ... The grab strap on the stock seat ... I have it tucked in under the solo seat when not in use. Do I really need to keep it on the bike?
