With all the talk about radar, how about vascar. Cop takes a position on the road, measures a distance out with a range finder, the hits a stopwatch when you enter the zone and exit. Comuter tells him how fast you are going. Works best with 1 cop in the zone, and several arresters down the road. " Black hog doing 72, blue t-shirt" etc.

Same thing happened to me, and the Chippy made I U-turn over double yellow on a winding road to write me up, luckily I was just speeding. Asked him and he said he "judged" and tagged me with the rader after he turned when I was "slowing down", didn't fight it. lol

In 1978 I was going thru the Wisconsin Dells. Saw someone on the top of a bluff outlined by the rising sun. Person was pointing something at my car.

Came around the corner to find an officer starting to climb into his car and pursue me. I pull off to a sliding stop, sling open the door, and in a John Belushi style dodging run make my way back to the confused officer while screaming "someone is trying to shoot me back there!"...

The officer gently assured me all was well, please proceed in accordance to the rules of the road. I still think Belushi got that Blutarski run from me.
