I have a 98 superglide with forwards on it. I've been looking for some extensions for the drivers foot pegs but not having much luck. I know I can get OEM pegs that are 5" long. But that's not long enough. Kuryakin have some 1"-2 1/2" extensions that bolt into the clevis mount and then you slide you pegs into the extension. Great if you own ISO pegs because AFAIK that's all they fit.
My forwards have a clevis built into them, so getting a longer clevis won't do the trick either.
I am out of options so I'm here to pick some brains.
Anyone have any idea, or seen something I didn't online? Plan B is to frankenstein or fabricate something.
ok nevermind. I'm taking this to a different section. Everyone here is busy talking about important stuff like how old are dyna riders, and why would anyone want a suicide shifter. lol ya.
They make something to extend the out im just having trouble finding it it uses the same male and female ends as the pegs and forward controls have. il post it if i can find it
But I want it at least 2 1/2" long. I found some that long, but they had the short sleeve that wouldn't work on my pegs. What bberck posted is what I am looking for as well. Then I could use whatever type of male pegs I want. I'll see if I can track those down. 2 1/4 might just make it.
I got a pair of those. Put 'em on my mids and they tried to kill me. Took them off after about a mile of driving.
On forwards, I dunno.
But to release them, you have to physically push a little release button, so if you're on the highway and are going into town, or if you no longer want them deployed for whatever reason, you have to stop, pullover and manually put them back into place. (Is that a record for a run-on sentence or what?)
They also tend to rattle. And they're also butt-ugly. Basically, IMO? They suck.
But you know what they say about opinions.............
