yes i know here all it takes is an inspection for a salvage title vehicle to see the road again... remember that a salvage can come from theft or water damage too, just because its salvaged doesnt mean it was totaled for sure, it just means the insurance company has paid out on it
I know personally from taking two salvage title cars, and a friend of the families motorcyle, if you drive it in and the vin matches the title, and it is street legal it usually passes
I have looked at www.coparts.com. They have bikes on there too. I havent personaly bought anything from the site. So all I can say is I have seen them on there
I got my Street Bob from www.choppersrus.com. They are in Morris, Oklahoma. Phone 918-733-4176. He had the bike on eBay. I called him and made an offer. He's only a couple hours from me so it was fairly easy. All his bikes that I have seen on eBay had a Rebuilt Title.
I joined www.Ridesafely.com for $15. It's a bid auction on all types of vechicles. I haven't bid on anything but it is interesting to check every now and then. You and see one pic and thumbnails with basic info for free.

I repaired the two tourers below. Both had Oregon Salvage titles. I repaired each, had them inspected by WSP, and licensed them. Both of them (along with my DWG) just got back from a 4400 mile roadtrip to AZ.
You'll find several salvage bikes on ebay; go to ebay Motors, search on "Harley Salvage". Or give Gary a call at West Coast Auto Brokers in SE Portland, OR. Donno what he has in stock or for sale, but I had good dealings with him... http://www.wcab.comcastbiz.net/
