I have been around this block before. I finally put the Rush 1.75's back onto stay. Thought they were a little loud at first, but decided they sound pretty good.
The Cats on the 2010 Dyna's are in the muffler. You can see them in the muffler inlets when you take the stocks off. If you go to any slip on's you will get rid of those Cats.
Chock,
I have the Se II slip ons, the newer versions. Yes, they are louder than stock. They are not blow your face off pipes by any means. I like the rumble they have and when I get on them. They have a good note to them also. They also get louder after a few hundred miles on them. If you are looking for really loud pipes look elsewhere. I have no idea about the cats.
