Default bigger engines for 2011 models??

a friend who is a salesman at a harley dealer heard the 2011 screamin eagles will be 120 cubic inch. they wont release that to the public couse nobody will buy the 2010s. they are speculating the standard big twins will be bumped up to 103 cubic inch to compete with victory. Any body heard anything along this line?

103 is believable. Harley is behind in the cubic inch category. But why 120? Is that just a bigger bore with the same crank?

I don't think HD would put the 120" in this soon, I mean the 110" has only been around what 4yrs? And with them finally getting around to fixing all the problems they had, I'm not to sure they want to start over again with the 120". As for a 103" stock, that probably won't happen either. The moco is making way to much money off people wanting to upgrade to a 103". Plus the prices would have to go up, and in this economy, I don't think they want to take that chance! I think the moco is finally realizing that their not the big dogs anymore, and to compete with the other brands, they're actually starting to lower the msrp on quite a few models.

No replacement for displacement. That being said, I'm happy with my 96.

That would make sense, they probably have spare capacity at present. Harley already has the parts for a SE 120".

In the recent displacement wars, no kidding the MoCo is way behind the others producing both air-cooled and water-cooled V-Twins. However, if they choose to go bigger cubes (yes, por favor) they need to seriously upgrade frames, suspension and B R A K E S
