Is anyone using this battery? If so, any problems? All of mine have been junk. I'm on my fourth in 2 years! Sears replaces them so I don't pay but damn thats bad. I just pulled one out of my bike and it was leaking from the top. It's only nine weeks old and sits at 12.61 volts. I'm starting to think my bike has a bad ground. I'm hoping thats not the case.
Wouldn't the AGM battery from HD be worth the headaches you are getting from the DieHards? Understand Sears is replacing them under warranty, to me Sears has proven something, crappy product but willing to replace on their dime.
I just figured a diehard should be a good battery, it's a diehard. It's cheaper then HD AGM so i bought one, but apparently there not as good. I think I'll get an HD today and give it a shot.
I have a friend that raves about how good the Interstate brand motorcycle battery is. I dunno, never had a problem with mine, and all of the metrics that I replaced the battery on I went with a YUASA battery
Can't go wrong with YUASA batteries. I've had one in a Yamaha Grizzly for the last 4 yrs. I ride the bike maybe twice per year and every time I hit the starter it almost scares me at how fast it spins.
I bought a new one in 08. It sat all winter, and cranked the Sporty just fine. Has never given me any trouble whatseover, I would buy another in a hearbeat.
man check out JP cycles new line of high crank batteries, we just put one in a chop and it cranks tht big sucker over! that is what i am going to go with next week for my dyna as well! just awesome and for $100
Years ago I stopped at Sears to pick up a batt. for my shovel, The sales counter guy (idiot) said they didn't have one and they didn't carry motorcycle batts. during the winter. WTF? Never went back after that, now I buy my Batt. from the local indy. I would rather spend my money in a locally owned business anyway. Sears sure ain't what it used to be!
Almost forgot- I don't buy tires for our vehicles there any more either.
That one smart *** cost Sears alot of money over the years.
I know how you feel. I bought a $200 starter back in the 90's for my truck from Advance AP. It went bad, and I took it back into the same store. They looked at it, claimed it didn't come from their store, and wouldn't honor it. This was back before everything was computerized. My family ran two car auctions in Danville at that time. We pulled our business from them and gave it to Autozone. It costs them several thousand dollars, when all I wanted is what I paid for. Customer service is a thing of the past, for sure.
