Chrome Auxiliary Lighting Kit
Has anyone put Chrome Auxiliary Lighting Kit (any brand) on their Superglide or Lowrider?
I was thinking it might be a good fit with the bike.
Good idea or not so good?

<â I had them put on my Sportster. I like the look but I'm an even bigger believer in PHOTONS. I also have a theory that multiple lights in front make it easier for cages to judge speed and distance due to the multiple lights rather than a single 'point of light'. MUCH better at night of course. â>
I agree the more light power the better thatâs why all my lights brake, turn, signals etc. are LEDâs,
Even replace LEDâs in my speedo/tach more light and never go bad.
The one thing I think of about âdaytime headlights on lawsâ is an article I read in ER back in the 80âs they reported a test of drivers set up on a control area, they just told the drivers when you come up to that stop sign a motorcycle (some will have lights on, some will have them off) will be coming down the hill/road to your left, just pull out in front of them if you think it can be done safely or donât pull out, your choice.
It seems the ones that pull out in front, âthinking they had the timeâ were pretty close calls, why ? turns out most of the drivers failed to judge their speed ! oh yeah they all saw them w/their lights on but couldnât judge the speed because the lights on in the daytime fools them in thinking the motorcycles were going slower than the ones with lights off. Thatâs the main problem with headlights daytime on.
I do think of that when rolling down a hill w/a side street w/my headlight on ! (no problem w/a group) if I am solo for me itâs another thing.
So with a wire cut on my 3 position ign sw that problem is over at least in my mind : - )
I really donât turn them out often (since most people look for light on) but every once in a while and the side benny is, if my battery takes a dump in the daytime (or night hopefully with another biker along) I just turn off the biggest draw and with the low current draw of the LEDs I will make it back w/the power in the battery thatâs left, we all know it takes good battery to make Harleys run.
Just my two cents, and worth just about that.
