Wyde Glyde Bry those bags look great on your bike!!!!
I highly sugest these! i have and LOVE THEM, have installed them on prob 10 bikes now as well. tell them Joe from Lite Em Up customs / The Powder Pro sugested you call them and they usually hook it up on the prices, i have sold TONS of their set ups and not one person that does not like them...
I even took what remains on the bike wiht them off and powdered it black, they VANISH when the bags are not on! and still let you use your qd sissy bar and crap like that http://www.edgeleather.com/Table/Har...yna/index.html
Thanks man. Hey Joe, do you turn the keeper around backwards? I did that and it put the bags a little closer to the bike. But I had to grind down the lock arm a little so the bracket could reach the cut out on the keeper. The keeper sits deeper inside the bracket this way.
huh... i tried that but was not sure if it would work with a back rest. you have any pics of what you did, that would move the bags in about 1/4-1/2 inch doing what you are talking about!
Yeah my bike is outside in the parking lot... after I get off this conference call I'll swing out and snap a pic for ya.
But basically the slot where the bracket fits on the keeper, I put that closer to the fender rather than the way the directions said. Moves it in about a half inch I'd guess. But you'll have to grind down the lock arm so it can fit over the keeper in the unlocked position.
Hope I didn't give the impression that the bags are tight against the fender. As you can see they still sit out there. But reversing the keepers gets them as close as this hardware system will allow I think. As a side note I was doing the service on a buddy's Street Glide last night after work, and I measured his bags from outside to outside, and these are only about one inch wider. But the different in asthetics is obviously those fender fillers that Street Glides and Road Glides now have.
