LOL. I went with the S&S G (it's the right carb for my build). I previously tried running a gas soaked rag but like the G's performance better.

yup... don't waste money on a new carb... save it for your cams. My cv performs outstanding. I got a good boost in throttle response adding a boyesen x-wing. No point on buying a mikuni or s&s if you ask me.

This is only my $.02 worth. The stock CV carb is all you need unless major mods have been done to your engine. Its arguably the most dependable way to get air/fuel into your scooter. Its definitely the cheapest way. I'd recommend it as a conversion for anything Harley ever used in the past. Some people even convert fuel injection to CV carb.
