seat mod
need to seriously vent as well as issue a warning-took advice and brought my mustang 2-up to a local upholster to have it comfied up. 2weeks later i finally get my wife to pick it up. has a gel pad installed- sticking up about a quarter inch and very visible through the cover and just looks like crap figure o well.ill try it- seat rode worse than before so i take it back to the dude who says ok ill take the gel out and replace it with foam,cool.im out of town working again this week and call to have my wife pick it up again and dude says for me to come by and look at it first so today i get back in and stop by the shop to look at it.first they cant find it,when they do im speechless for a moment-my first words are "im not putting that p.o.s on my bike,wheres my seat?Uh,oh that is ,was, my seat!they hacked the foam out of it as well,and believe it or not stuffed it front to rear with poly fil[the stuff you put in bed pillows} the cover had more rolls and wrinkles than the Michelin Man and the rivets were already pulling through the bottom of the cover keep in mind,i paid 150 to have my seat destroyed and waited a total of 3 weeks for them to do it!im am pissed and let em know it so the peon they delegated to work on the seat[who smelled like a 12 pack from 20 feet away] decides hes offended by my dislike- i left the shop vowing to return tomorrow afternoon to get a refund and pick up a check for the cost of a new seat if its not made right!!!!i guess my warning is just cause the say they do m/c seats dont mean they do it right!thanks for letting me get this off my chest-guess ill start lookin for a new seat-
