Thanks for all the responses. I put the rear on last night and it looks ok. Seems to handle decent. I do agree with you all and think it will be better to go ahead and lower the front as well. I read somewhere about changing to different fork oil which improved the ride a bit. It does not appear that there will be any issues with bottoming and hitting the fender. I put the initial setting on 3.

I lowered just the rear of mine, even lower than the pic in my sig, and I havnt had any problems at all with how it handle's and it looks realy good, but you loose some ride comfort on rough roads and your spine will let you know when you hit a good dip in the road. One thing that will help is changing the fork oil to the Screaming Eagle heavy. I strongly advise this.

Thanks dynarule for the info. Since I do not have a motorcycle jack I will probably just take it in to the shop. I will have them add the SE heavy fork oil as well. I am sure once the front is lowered I will have to grind down the stand a little as well. I hate paying for work that is fairly easy to do but it is sure nice to drop it off before work and pick it up when I get off. Increases my riding time!

I lowered the rear on my FXD 1 1/2" with Progressive Shocks and road it a while before lowering the front 2". With the rear lowered I didn't notice much of a differance, but when I installed the Progressive "drop In" front springs it seemed like the bike handled about 300 % better. Everyone I talked to advised to lower both the front and rear to achieve the best ride and handling. I'm glad I took their advice.

Got the front springs installed yesterday. It is much much better. Love the new look. Ride is not too bad and the handling is good. Thanks for all the input.

No issues so far. Have not pushed it too hard though.
