We ran our Iron Butt 1000 yesterday. We ended up with 1091.9 miles in 21 1/2 hours. Our plan was to make a lap around MO but a storm across the north part of the state made us make a route change at Joplin MO. Instead of heading north we went sounth into Arkansas and ran down to Texarkana. We stayed of the interstate as much as we could which slowed us down some but made it more fun.
I had alot of fun but was beat by the end. I had the bike set-up pretty good and the crash bar and pegs were great for the long ride. With the forwards, highway pegs, mids and passenger pegs I had lots of foot options. We ended up with 3 of us and I think that was a good number.
Will be glad to strip the bike back down today though
Looks like a good ride. I'm planning a trip from Houston to Lake Eufaula OK, then to Branson Mo, followed by a run through Mt. Ida into Hot Srpings and then back to Houston. Looks to be around 1200-1350 miles round trip, I've done 600 in a day but never 1k. Pics look good and made me excited about our up coming run.
glad you had a good ride... my year has been pathetic as far a mileage goes. I have 1600 miles on my bike since dec. this year. I need some good long rides!
