I had the bags off to start on the final version on the mounting system for them. And I had the front end apart chasing down the "Clunk". I added the front fender trim and the chrome belt guard. And I replaced the derby cover, the cam cover, mirrors, and hand grips.
So here's what the Bob looks like without its touring clothes on.
You built one of my favorite bikes on the board.....
I'll also be hitting you up for info when I start my FL style build.
Gonna search all your posts first....dont want to get yelled at
Getting married in October, so any spare $$$ I have (not that there is much), Im saving for parts and buying the little stuff first.
Thanks for the comments. It has been quite a job. But I think it has turned out great. Paint should get done in July. Those of you that are thinking about the FL look, I posted pics and info in my Album. I have some pics and info in my Flickr site. I will be adding more to it since it loads faster than the Forum pics. There is an FL-Dyna social group listed under the Quick Links tab. www.flickr.com/photos/mcr-1955/sets
Oldman, 2weeks? What do you mean in 2 weeks? I've been working on mine for a year. And it's still not near finished. Maybe by August. Then it's Sturgis for the debut ride.
Thanks R/'Chop. Coming from you means alot. When I bought the wrecked Bob in Jan. '09. my intent was to FL it. I soon found this forum. You and Ackman were already working on yours and posting pics, advice, and links . It showed me that it could be done and made it easier. My biggest problem was seeing an '07 Fat Boy at my local indie and lusting after the front end. So I had to have a matching back end to go with it.
R/'Chop, how do you blow up and post pics without doing the attachment thingie?
You just key in the characters "" immediately after (no spaces) ... thus:
Alternatively you can click the little yellow picture icon of the mountains on the 'toolbar' above the Quick Reply text box and paste the http address into the box in the pop up ....
