I recently picked up my new 2010 Street Bob, and I need a new cover. (The one I had for my 1990 Sportster doesn't quite fit.)
Any recommendations?
I am looking for a year-round heavy-duty cover since I don not have a garage. I ride year round (weather permitting) in New Jersey, so the more protection the better.
Get a dowco. Not the bottom of the line version either, expect to pay about 90 bucks on ebay for them. They make the HD covers which are excellent. I have used one for the last 3 years, (I am on my second one now). I cant complain as I got almost 3 years out of the first one. Had to replace my first one last month. I store my bike outside during the riding season, 8-9 months, then inside for the winter. Rather than chance getting the wrong size I bought the HD version from the dealer for about 20 bucks more than I would have payed had I went through Ebay.
I am on my first Dowco cover, got it from motorcycle-superstore, got the lower heat resistant fabric on both sides, when it pours bike still gets wet a little, I would go with full black material next time since I wait for the bike to cool down before covering it.
1st HD cover faded too soon, and fabric rotten around elastic band covering front tire.
