Since i changed my rear tire my rear brake is draggin .
Alignment is good pistons travelfine but still draggin .
to the point where the rotor is way too hot too touch?
Could the pressure not be releasing in the rear master for some reason ?
And its possibly plugged?
Anyone else have this happen.?
Im gonna bleed both front ( separate i know ) and back and go from there..
well i can release the rear piston in the caliper ..it goes in nicely
pressures up great..
gonna check the brake springs next .. and clips as well.
New pads did not make any change by the way.
Man, I had the same problem on my '03 Hertigage Springer when I changed the rear pads. Afterwards, the rotor got piping hot. I never did figure out what was wrong so I sold the bike and bought a 2010 Streetglide. Haven't had the problem since.
Logic would tell me that you may have a spacer in the wrong place. If all you did was change the tire, I know you said alignment is good, but if you checked alignment for trueness as far as straight in the swingarm, that really doesn't tell you if it is a hair off center in the swingarm.Does one side of the rotor show heavier wear now? Are the pads same thickness? May be too soon to tell, but I would certainly do some checking.
