Default Flush mount taillight?

I'm trying to find a taillight that will sit almost flush with my fender. Maybe something with a LED strip inside. I want to use the original hole.

Here's some magnificant artwork depicting something like what I have, vs. what I want.

Any ideas?

There is a low profile taillight lens out there but they seem to cause more problems than they are worth. (Bulb touches it and blows out and melts the lens)

I only know of the one Kury makes, and it still sticks out a good bit. I see how the clearance would cause a problem with the bulb. What I'm looking for is like a flat LED panel that would sit almost flush (1/2" protrusion) with the fender.
Maybe I'll have to get handy and build one. I'm sure there'd be a market for them on ebay too.

You might already be aware that this change will make you less visible to others from the side.

This is the one I am running, its a Radii taillight.
I am going to lower it on fender when I add 6" to it, it fits above square hole, plus one lower hole

Rounder, I don't see a tail light or licence plate on your bike. Are you not running a tail light? Do you have a side mount plate? Is there a law that says the plate has to be on the left side. It seems I can tuck it in closer on the right.

Flush mount taillight?-side.jpgYou could go with this LED light and plate combo about$100.

Is that plate holder curved?
