HD Dyna, is that solid metal or a plastic with a chrome layer? I'm not a big fan of shiny, so if it's solid I could scotch-brite it and make it look brushed. Or do you know if it comes in black?

I like the custom dynamics led strip, I'm just worried it'll come out looking cheap. And for the ~$200 I'll put into it, that's a bit of a gamble because I can't really picture the finished product.

I run a LED bulb from "---'s workshop" (can't think of the name of it) behind a smoke lens. Since the LED doesn't produce as much heat as the incandescent (sp) I could probably get away with the low profile kury huh? I think the lens alone is under $10.

Keep the ideas coming. I appreciate the input.

Yes it is.It covers the original hole from the stock light.I made a foam seal to keep slop from dripping out from under the plate.

get it from dr V twin (forum sponser) that is where i got mine... on mine i added additional LEDS in the LED board so my turn sigs are the break light as well. then powdered it all black

i made a plate that fills in the tail light hold and cut a hole in that and used a rubber gromit to fill the hole and run the wires though

added LEDs to the 2 holes in the circit board and wired them as turn sigs

wiring all buttoned up after i added LED turn sigs

I smoothed the fender by having the holes welded in. I am running a run brake turn on the rear(like a nightster/wideglide) I have a side mount plate from e-bay,bolts to the shock and sits in tight only about 1/8" away from the belt guard.
