anyone running touring shocks?? feedback please
looking at some shocks now... dont wanna loose the performance because i like to ride hard and take corners... and by the way main reason is for me to get a black shock... well honestly id love to have a slammer kit, but i hear it kills handling in corners... so what are my options. what do you have. id appreciate all the feedback you can give, pics also!

I threw progressive shocks on, performance is great and I can easily adjust the preload / dampening depending on how long / if I'm riding two-up etc etc.... One of the best investments I put into the bike considering the money!

When you say touring shock, I assume you mean the air shock. I ran them for a short time. If you want comfort, you'll never beat them. The bike road like it was on a glass plain. Smooth as silk. But that same marshmallow ride really isn't great for bangin' threw corners. If hard riding is what you want, probably the touring air shocks would be a bad idea.

I had em on my sporty and I loves em, switched from S model adj shocks to those. I've got a set I was gonna put on my fxdx the other day and the top shock stud is too short so I had to scrap the project for now. When I get some new top bolts I'm gonna do em. I ran em from 5 to 15#'s on the sporty and never had an issue with ill handling. I don't ride easily either. If you can get em free or cheap it's a decent mod. Ricors, Works, Race Techs are all killer..but will also decimate your wallet
